I have been inspired to write on my blog again after a nearly two year absence. This is thanks to Giovanna, a friend who often inspires me with what she does. (I have added her blog under my links, Straight from the Elephants Mouth) Her blog is about her life in Thailand and will surely tell of otherworldly adventures much more interesting then my own.

As for my own life, I wont begin to recap on the past two years you’ve missed; too much has happened. But I will mention the major things. I’m living in Rochester with my boyfriend Brandon. I just got a new puppy from a rescue shelter, she’s a 6 month old German Shepard Mix named Elsie. She is a great puppy and has brought plenty of excitement to the home this past month. Brandon leaves in less then a week for Iraq. He is in the Army National Guard and will be gone for a year. It’s his first tour since we’ve been together and he seems to be handling it much better then I am. I think I’m in denial about the whole thing despite how fast it’s coming up. For now I’m just trying to enjoy the last couple days I have with him… mostly spending it playing CoD BlackOps and vegging on the couch. What can I say it’s what he likes to do most.
